This calculi in the end really start 96 astronauts – then accurately 50%. Astronauts USA was 87 (inclusive military astronaut programme X-20 and MOL), in the end take wing 55 mans – it is. 63%. Cosmonauts USSR was 104, but in the end take wing only 41 – it is. 39% (!) …

Soviet cosmonautics hereof period (1962-1967) is very in details described until least detail in book P.Toufar “Kosmicke skandaly”.
