Ithaca Island is not only "about Odysseus."

    It is not a big island. The length is about 23km, at isthmus is only 600m wide and has about 100km2. The island is "made by hills" surrounded by the sea.......

 Good overall tourist information can be obtained here.

    With a hot climate, narrow roads but with a good road meshwork, best transportation is probably a scooter:

There is a nice capital city of Vathi with its harbor:
