The pneumatic door strikes are a special application. They are implemented wherever electrical door strikes cannot be used. Typical areas of use are areas where there is an explosion hazard, e.g. paint shops or zones in which combustible gases or fumes may be present.

Preventive fire protection is becoming increasingly important.

The effeffsafety door strikes for fire protection doors fulfill the legal requirements. The durability and strength test is based on the "Guidelines for approval of fire protection doors" drawn up by the Institute for Building Technology in Berlin. The test certificates from the State Materials Testing Authority in Dortmund, Nordrhein Westphalia, for model ranges 131, 141 and 142 are available on request.

ANSI standard The ANSI range (ANSI standard, American National Standard Institution) was specially designed for the American market. All ANSI door strikes have been tested according to UL guidelines (UL1034) and therefore conform to the high American requirements for intrusion-safe door strikes.
