The target of the association is, according to its rules, promotion and revival of the unique castle theatre in the castle Litomyšl. The intentions are, with close cooperation of the castle Litomyšl administration, the organization and the financial cover of researches and works, which will lead to the renewal of this theatre. Mainly the association will for fruition of its targets:

1. to gather and to collect all available information about the castle theatre in Litomyšl; initiate and organize continuous scientific researches related to this castle theatre; make use of their outputs and other pieces of knowledge for its further activities
2. to process the background papers for the progressive restoration of the castle theatre and background paper for getting coffers from government's sources of funds, from the private sector and other sources of funds as well
3. to develop cooperation with the castle Litomyšl administration; initiate proceeding, which will lead to restoration of the castle theatre and its equipment in terms of this cooperation
4. to develop cooperation with other subjects acting in the area of the researches and the promotion of historical theatres
5. to promote the castle theatre like the world monument of the theatre culture of the 18^th and 19^th century (among others by way of these web pages)

1. complete knowledge of all functions of the stage mechanism, equipment of the stage and the Theatre itself as well; sequential restoration of the theatre to the original condition as much as possible, which would made possible an authentic theatre performances
2. the research, which will be specialized in an atmospheric theatre performances, detailed research and the documentation of the theatre, the climatic research
3. the restoration (and creation of copies) of the unique originals decorations of the theatre, the adaptation of the decoration's depository

In spite of the theatre hasn't been in condition, which would required an urgent rescue intervention (some of the items require conservation even if they haven't been strictly in emergency conditions), it would be suitable to devote to the theatre a due care to doesn't come to the emergency conditions in the future. In the present time the theatre is used for performances and festivals of all kinds. According to our statement this theatre has been used that way mach more often than it would be acceptable for such a unique theatre.

Our association would like to help in retrieval of the equipment of the theatre (above all technical equipment of the stage); the renovation and the propagation of the theatre as well. Our activities should make towards restrictions of the incommensurate actions in the theatre and to the revival of all activities, which would present the theatre such as almost intact preserved theatre scene with the stage technique of the baroque style and unique decorations. All of these facts are the reason why this theatre has been found as world monument of the theatre culture.

We suppose that more specific propagation of the castle theatre could markedly redound to the credit of the castle in Litomyšl (even with a respect to the recent inscription to UNESCO Heritage List). Mainly the castle theatre, because of its genuineness, should become a part of the broad research of the historic theatre and it should become a place, which would make possible performances of the historic theatre and chamber-opera according to the strictest criteria (s. activities of the Foundation of the Baroque Theatre in the castle Ceský Krumlov).

Our association would like to initiate continuous researches related to the theatre itself but even the operation of the theatre (the storage of the decoration and the props, cloak-rooms), particulars of the theatre life in Litomyšl castle and in the surroundings (theatres in the other castles, nobility joining in the performances) etc.; outcomes of these researches could redound to the presentation of Litomyšl castle again.
